Things I have Loved:

Things I have loved:

 Chattering chopsticks, drenched in soy sauce from mouth-watering sushi and the sweet  orange mochi;

Only compared to smooth chocolate ice cream or quiche full of vegetables

Or the never-ending museum, full of ancient and wonderful treasures.

Remember the wavy pool; or the glistening beaches.

The tastealicious minty milkshake full of caramel stitches.

How High Can We Build?

Well, to answer that question we have to go back in time – when the pyramids were built- some 4,000 years ago. The Great Pyramid of Giza stayed as the tallest building in the world for more than 3600 years until the Lincoln Cathedral. Then It followed like this:

Singer Building- 1908

Metropolitan Life Tower- 1909

Woolworth Building- 1913

Trump Tower- 1930

Chrysler Building- 1930

Empire State Building- 1931

One World Trade Center Towers- 1972

Willis Tower- 1974

Petronas Towers- 1998

Taipei 101- 2004

Burj Khalifa- 2010 – 848 m high

Nowadays, Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure since 2010, but now the Jeddah Tower is being bult and is predicted to reach 1 mile ( 1.6 km) in the sky/ to be completed by 2021.

Some other plans are made to construct an “space elevator” that will reach beyond Earth’s gravity.

… then everything stopped and…

March 11 2011,

2:40 pm

“MUM!” I cry with terror as another wave crashes.

“Chieko…. Go to the basement and find shelter, it’ll be safer there!” answers mum from far away “You’ll be alright, I promise”.

Full of tears, I drag myself to the basement and shut the door. ” Breathe, Breathe, Breathe” I whisper to myself to calm down.

After a few moments, Mum comes down and opens the door- smiles fill my miserable face. She hugs me and tells me that we should move further back but it’s too late; I feel rumbling under my feet and scream, then everything stopped and……

Why planes are the best transportation!

Planes are literally and physically the best transportation, and are thankful for this since they

are the only way to travel faster, cheaper and safer than ever before. This mega working industry is grabbing people and turning them to believe planes are the #1 transport to bring people a good future, and that’s how it should be!

Can you believe that it takes 10 hours to just travel 1000km in a car? Well, that’s absolutely right. But thanks to modern plane’s turbo-jet engines you can now zoom 1000km in 2 hours. Incredible technology doesn’t end there- back in the 1970’s there was a plane called Concorde; this plane was able to travel from North America to England in 52 minutes ( that’s 5, 567 kilometres) break that down and it’ll be 107 seconds per 100km, Wow!

Secondly, flying in a plane is whooping lot cheaper than travelling in a car- in a 13,000km ride you’ll spend 997,000 $ in fuel plus food and water when you only spend 5,000 with planes; that’s a 992,000 $ difference!. The excessive money you pay to fly goes to crew, food and water expenditure.

And lastly, jets have the most comfortable ride in all means of transportation. For example, the new Airbus A380 has many specialties for First Class passengers like an unlimited food supply, fully made bed, custom-made pyjamas and even a drink bar plus many other grand luxuries to make passengers feel like they’re at a hotel!

In this century, planes have revolutionized the way people travel around the world by embracing speed, cost and comfort to open a whole new door to new generations to enjoy the best of flight.

Why football is the best sport!!

Here’s a riddle: Americans hate me but British love me, I make up of 4% of the world’s population and I am famous in Latin america, but what am I……….? Football of course!

Football has been part of people’s community for more than 300 years but hasn’t lost the favour ever since. Here are some reasons to back-up my idea.

Firstly, It is officially played and watched by a tremendous 5 billion people worldwide, dwarfing the second most played and watched sport, cricket, with 2.5 billion! In addition, the only equipment you need is a football and shoes!! No other sport is so simple towards equipment. It doesn’t take very long to learn and can be played in a small park; if you appreciate playing, it is recommended that club football is the best way to enjoy the sport.

Secondly, playing football is not all about competition- it’s also about having fun. Many NZs say that football is tedious and rugby is ahead of the pack but I confront this opinion because of two reasons: 1- rugby is around 46% more harmful than football according to studies, this is not a fun game!!. And 2- my personal experience is that I started playing football when I was 2 years old . Thus, you can entertain yourself with the ball at any age.

Lastly, can you imagine representing your country in the FIFA world cup !? players from 211 nations don’t have too since they are already in the team itself. Take Brazil for example, it doesn’t have a netball, cricket or rugby national team, making football Brazil’s only hope. That’s why Brazil is one of the best national teams in the world! As a matter of fact, if you look up on the sports news, you may never find an article from another sport rather than football!

Without a doubt, you should’ve agreed with me that football is the ideal sport to play- grouping together popularness, safety and variety of players to make you believe that football 𝙞𝙨 ‘ The  beautiful game’.   🙂
